Unbound Worlds Likes: 6/11/11

carey-banewreakerThe internet(s) gives and gives and gives.

There are some great sci-fi/fantasy bloggers out there, fans who are devoting a lot of time and energy into supporting authors and their readers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and with the menagerie of unique and very different individuals out there contributing, it produces a whole that is better than its parts.

Last week, Unbound Worlds posted the First 50 Pages of Ice Song by Kirsten Imani Kasai, and Elio Garcia Jr. reviewed HBO’s Game of Thrones: The Pointy End! That’s not all though. Matt Staggs wrote Ten Fantastic Facts About Druids surrounding Kevin Hearne’s novel, Hexed, and I asked the hard question Is Amazon’s Star Review System Seriously Flawed?!

In other areas of the professional internet(s), Tor.com continued their reread of A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin, Pyr Books posted The Dervish House by Ian McDonald has been nominated for the Campbell Award, and Orbit Books features Tim Lebbon, author of Echo City, doing a challenge I simply couldn’t do!

Here are some of the blogging highlights I found outside of Unbound Worlds week ending 6/11/11:

  • Cover Art: Lightspeed: Year One edited by John Joseph Adams, posted by A Dribble of Ink
