Unbound Worlds Likes: 10/22/11

lawrence-kingThe internet(s) gives and gives and gives.

There are some great sci-fi/fantasy bloggers out there, fans who are devoting a lot of time and energy into supporting authors and their readers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and with the menagerie of unique and very different individuals out there contributing, it produces a whole that is better than its parts.

Last week, Unbound Worlds posted the First 50 Pages from Star Wars: Riptide by Paul S. Kemp. We also posted the covers featured at the NYCC Star Wars Panel! That’s not all though. Matt Staggs interviewed Taylor Stevens, author of The Informationist. I interviewed Lia Habel, author of Dearly, Departed, and I also asked What Movie Contains Your Favorite Darth Vader Scene?

In other areas of the professional internet(s), Tor.com features video of Margaret Atwood and Lev Grossman, Pyr Books posted a review of Fenrir by M. D. Lachlan, and Orbit Books announced their new editor!

Here are some of the blogging highlights I found outside of Unbound Worlds week ending 10/22/11:

  • Comment: The Butcher of Anderson Station by James S. A. Corey, posted by A Dribble of Ink
  • Cover: King of Thorns by Mark Lawrence, posted by A Fantasy Reader
  • Review: The Cold Commands by Richard K. Morgan, read by Fantasy Book Critic
  • Review: Snuff by Terry Pratchett, read by Fantasy Book Review
  • Review: Hammered by Kevin Heaerne, read by Fantasy Literature

  • Interview: George R. R. Martin, posted by Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist
  • Review: The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa, read by Sci-Fi Chick

I highly recommend all Unbound Worlds readers to visit these fine examples of sci-fi / fantasy blog work! Get involved, post your thoughts, and enjoy what else is out there!

And feel free to talk about it or anything else on our Forum here!

Till next week…
