erikson-forgeThe internet(s) gives and gives and gives.

There are some great sci-fi/fantasy bloggers out there, fans who are devoting a lot of time and energy into supporting authors and their readers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and with the menagerie of unique and very different individuals out there contributing, it produces a whole that is better than its parts.

Last week, Unbound Worlds posted the First 50 Pages of The Master of Heathcrest Hall by Galen Beckett. Matt Staggs Took Five with Tim Pratt. Aidan Moher posted Posted the Release Date For Diablo III. That’s not all though. Joe Scalora and David Pomerico posted their winners voted by you for Round 2 of the 2012 Cage Match, and I posted the cover for Wards of Faerie by Terry Brooks.

In other areas of the professional internet(s), Tor.com is reading Part 11 of A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin, Pyr Books featured Functional Nerds, and Orbit Books posts two new short stories!

Here are some of the blogging highlights I found outside of Unbound Worlds week ending 3/17/12:

  • Cover: The Inexplicables by Cherie Priest, posted by A Dribble of Ink
  • Cover: The Forge of Darkness by Steven Erikson, read by A Fantasy Reader
  • More Details: Railsea by China Mieville, posted by Fantasy Book Critic
  • Review: Hide Me Among the Graves by Tim Powers, read by Fantasy Literature
  • Giveaway: Wise Man’s Fear by Patrick Rothfuss, given by Graeme’s Fantasy Book Review
  • Interview: Tad Williams, posted by Grasping For the Wind
  • News: A Red Country by Joe Abercrombie, posted by The Mad Hatter’s Bookshelf
  • UK Cover: The Forge of Darkness by Steven Erikson, posted by Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist
  • Giveaway: Magic Without Mercy by Devon Monk, given by Sci-Fi Chick
  • Cover: The Forge of Darkness by Steven Erikson, posted by Wertzone

I highly recommend all Unbound Worlds readers to visit these fine examples of sci-fi / fantasy blog work! Get involved, post your thoughts, and enjoy what else is out there!

And feel free to talk about it or anything else on our Forum here!

Till next week…
