Unbound Worlds Likes: 7/28/12

durham-acacia3tpThe internet(s) gives and gives and gives.

There are some great sci-fi/fantasy bloggers out there, fans who are devoting a lot of time and energy into supporting authors and their readers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and with the menagerie of unique and very different individuals out there contributing, it produces a whole that is better than its parts.

Last week, Unbound Worlds featured the First 50 Pages of The Wanderers by Paula Brandon. Author Rachel Hartman posted The Top 10 Songs of Seraphina. Matt Staggs interviewed Darksiders: The Abomination Vault author Ari Marmell, as well as Took Five With Ben H. Winters, author of The Last Policeman. Thalia Sutton posted the July 2012 Manga New Releases. And I featured Two Urban Fantasy Novels I Can’t Wait For and polled Should The Hobbit Have Three Movies?!

In other areas of the professional internet(s), Tor.com posted an excerpt from Forge of Darkness by Steven Erikson, Pyr Books featured the cover for A Guile of Dragons by James Enge, and Orbit Books featured the cover for Stray Souls by Kate Griffin!

Here are some of the blogging highlights I found outside of Unbound Worlds week ending 7/28/12:

  • Review: Acacia Trilogy by David Anthony Durham, read by A Dribble of Ink
  • Map: Red Country by Joe Abercrombie, posted by A Fantasy Reader
  • Review: Land of Hope and Glory by Geoffrey Wilson, read by Fantasy Book Critic
  • Comment: Author Accessibility, posted by Fantasy Literature
  • Giveaway: Midnight Riot by Ben Aaronovitch, given by Graeme’s Fantasy Book Review
  • Interview: S.B. Knight, posted by Grasping For the Wind
  • Comment: Bad Cover Art Casefiles, posted by The Mad Hatter’s Bookshelf
  • Video: Game of Thrones at SDCC 2012, posted by Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist
  • Review: Blood of Innocence by Tami Dane, read by Sci-Fi Chick
  • Comment: HBO Game of Thrones Cameo, posted by Wertzone

I highly recommend all Unbound Worlds readers to visit these fine examples of sci-fi / fantasy blog work! Get involved, post your thoughts, and enjoy what else is out there!

And feel free to talk about it or anything else on our Forum here!

Till next week…
