Unbound Worlds Likes: 7/7/12

scalzi-humanThe internet(s) gives and gives and gives.

There are some great sci-fi/fantasy bloggers out there, fans who are devoting a lot of time and energy into supporting authors and their readers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and with the menagerie of unique and very different individuals out there contributing, it produces a whole that is better than its parts.

Last week, Unbound Worlds featured the First 50 Pages of Year Zero by Rob Reid. Sarah Peed highlights New This Month From Del Rey / Spectra. Matt Staggs Interviewed Lincoln Child, author of The Third Gate, and posted Five Amazing Cases of Reincarnation. And I posted Chapter One from Wards of Faerie by Terry Brooks, as well as posted information how to Record Your Fan Fiction at Comic Con!

In other areas of the professional internet(s), Tor.com posted information about John Scalzi’s The Human Division, Pyr Books featured the 2012 Sunburst Award Nominees, and Orbit Books published the cover for Taken by Benedict Jacka!

Here are some of the blogging highlights I found outside of Unbound Worlds week ending 7/7/12:

  • Cover: The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling, posted by A Dribble of Ink
  • Comment: July Releases, posted by A Fantasy Reader
  • Comment: Spotlight on July Books, posted by Fantasy Book Critic
  • Comment: FanLit Asks: July 2012, posted by Fantasy Literature
  • Review: Wrath of Iron by Chris Wraight, read by Graeme’s Fantasy Book Review
  • Interview: Jon Sprunk, posted by Grasping For the Wind
  • Comment: The Human Division by John Scalzi, posted by The Mad Hatter’s Bookshelf
  • Comment: Inexpensive Ebook Goodies, posted by Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist
  • Interview: S.J. Kincaid, read by Sci-Fi Chick
  • Review: Existence by David Brin, read by Wertzone

I highly recommend all Unbound Worlds readers to visit these fine examples of sci-fi / fantasy blog work! Get involved, post your thoughts, and enjoy what else is out there!

And feel free to talk about it or anything else on our Forum here!

Till next week…
