Unbound Worlds Likes: 9/22/12

morgan-darkdefilesThe internet(s) gives and gives and gives.

There are some great sci-fi/fantasy bloggers out there, fans who are devoting a lot of time and energy into supporting authors and their readers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and with the menagerie of unique and very different individuals out there contributing, it produces a whole that is better than its parts.

Last week, Unbound Worlds featured the First 50 Pages of Dime Store Magic by Kelley Armstrong. Logan Balestrino continued The Hobbit Re-Read. Matt Staggs highlighted Contest: The Daylight War by Peter V. Brett. And I wrote a letter to Hollywood and polled Do You Like the New Hobbit Trailer?!

In other areas of the professional internet(s), Tor.com continued its re-read of A Storm of Swords by George R. R. Martin, Pyr Books posted A Blueprint for the Future of Genre Fiction, and Orbit Books published Gods of Risk by James S.A. Corey!

Here are some of the blogging highlights I found outside of Unbound Worlds week ending 9/22/12:

  • UK Cover: The Dark Defiles by Richard Morgan, posted by A Dribble of Ink
  • Question: Should I read The Hobbit?, posed by A Fantasy Reader
  • Review: Winter of the World by Ken Follett, read by Fantasy Book Critic
  • Comment: Why You Should Read… David Eddings, posted by Fantasy Literature
  • Comment: Too Many Zombies?, posted by Graeme’s Fantasy Book Review
  • Interview: Cat Rambo, posted by Grasping For the Wind
  • Comment: Cover Confusion, posted by The Mad Hatter’s Bookshelf
  • On Sale: A Memory of Light Prologue, posted by Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist
  • Giveaway: Cry Wolf: Volume 1 by Patricia Briggs, given by Sci-Fi Chick
  • UK Cover: The Dark Defiles by Richard Morgan, posted by Wertzone

I highly recommend all Unbound Worlds readers to visit these fine examples of sci-fi / fantasy blog work! Get involved, post your thoughts, and enjoy what else is out there!

And feel free to talk about it or anything else on our Forum here!

Till next week…
