Unbound Worlds Likes: 9/8/12

sanderson-legionThe internet(s) gives and gives and gives.

There are some great sci-fi/fantasy bloggers out there, fans who are devoting a lot of time and energy into supporting authors and their readers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and with the menagerie of unique and very different individuals out there contributing, it produces a whole that is better than its parts.

Last week, Unbound Worlds featured the First 50 Pages of Dearly, Beloved by Lia Habel. Logan Balestrino began The Tolkien Re-Read: Chapters 4-5. Matt Staggs posted Navy SEALS Infiltrating Your Imagination. I posted a video excerpt of Terry Brooks Reading A Garet Jax Short Story. And Patrick Rothfuss started The Story Board!

In other areas of the professional internet(s), Tor.com continued A Read of Ice & Fire: A Clash of Kings, Pyr Books posted a DragonCon Recap, and Orbit Books posted a Hugo Awards Recap!

Here are some of the blogging highlights I found outside of Unbound Worlds week ending 9/8/12:

  • Comment: Patrick Rothfuss News, posted by A Dribble of Ink
  • Extracts: Joe Abercrombie & Richard Morgan, posted by A Fantasy Reader
  • Comment: Introducing Curated Fantasy Books, posted by Fantasy Book Critic
  • Review: Legions by Brandon Sanderson, read by Fantasy Literature
  • Giveaway: The Cold Commands by Richard Morgan, posted by Graeme’s Fantasy Book Review
  • Interview: Deborah Coates, posted by Grasping For the Wind

  • Comment: Inexpensive Ebooks, posted by Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist
  • Review: Vampire Empire: Kingmakers by Clay & Susan Griffith, read by Sci-Fi Chick
  • Comment: GRRM, Rothfuss, and Abraham, posted by Wertzone

I highly recommend all Unbound Worlds readers to visit these fine examples of sci-fi / fantasy blog work! Get involved, post your thoughts, and enjoy what else is out there!

And feel free to talk about it or anything else on our Forum here!

Till next week…
