Unbound Worlds Likes: 10/27/12

tolkien-hobbitThe internet(s) gives and gives and gives.

There are some great sci-fi/fantasy bloggers out there, fans who are devoting a lot of time and energy into supporting authors and their readers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and with the menagerie of unique and very different individuals out there contributing, it produces a whole that is better than its parts.

Last week, Unbound Worlds featured the First 50 Pages of The Horror Stories of Robert E. Howard by Robert E. Howard. Logan Balestrino continued The Hobbit Re-Read. Fictional Frontiers featured 15 Minutes of Fiction… with Larry Curtis. Sarah Peed posted The Iron Pet Contest. Matt Staggs posted Take Five with Richard Gropp, author of Bad Glass. And I posted a video, Terry Brooks Talks Unfettered!

In other areas of the professional internet(s), Tor.com continued its re-read of A Storm of Swords by George R. R. Martin, Pyr Books posted James Enge Marches Through the Black Gate, and Orbit Books published Out For Blood by Kristen Painter!

Here are some of the blogging highlights I found outside of Unbound Worlds week ending 10/27/12:

  • Comment: Ian McKellan Turning Down Gandalf, posted by A Dribble of Ink
  • Cover: The Tyrant’s Law by Daniel Abraham, posted by A Fantasy Reader
  • Comment: 2012 Goodreads Choice Awards, posted by Fantasy Book Critic
  • Interview: Guy Gavriel Kay, posted by Fantasy Literature
  • Review: Dreamsongs by George R. R. Martin, posted by Graeme’s Fantasy Book Review
  • Interview: John Picacio, posted by Grasping For the Wind
  • Cover: You by Austin Grossman, posted by The Mad Hatter’s Bookshelf
  • Giveaway: Red Country by Joe Abercrombie, posted by Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist
  • Review: Sapphire Blue by Kerstin Gier, read by Sci-Fi Chick

I highly recommend all Unbound Worlds readers to visit these fine examples of sci-fi / fantasy blog work! Get involved, post your thoughts, and enjoy what else is out there!

And feel free to talk about it or anything else on our Forum here!

Till next week…
