Unbound Worlds Likes: 12/15/12

habel-dearlyThe internet(s) gives and gives and gives.

There are some great sci-fi/fantasy bloggers out there, fans who are devoting a lot of time and energy into supporting authors and their readers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and with the menagerie of unique and very different individuals out there contributing, it produces a whole that is better than its parts.

Last week, Unbound Worlds featured an First 50 Pages of Disclosure by Michael Crichton. Matt Staggs and I continued our Gifts For the Geek holiday posts with some great gift ideas for the geek in your life! Fictional Frontiers posted 15 Minutes of Fiction… with Joe Harris! Clynch offered a Free Download Star Wars: Scoundrels by Timothy Zahn. Matt Staggs interviewed Rupert Sheldrake, author of Science Set Free. And I posted pictures of Terry Brooks Meeting Todd Lockwood.

In other areas of the professional internet(s), Tor.com featured A Natural History of Dragons by Marie Brennan, Pyr Books featured 5 Questions To Great Story, and Orbit Books interviewed Gail Z. Martin, author of Ice Forged!

Here are some of the blogging highlights I found outside of Unbound Worlds week ending 12/15/12:

  • Comment: The Hobbit discussion, posted by A Dribble of Ink
  • Poll: A Memory of Light, posted by A Fantasy Reader
  • Review: Malice by John Gwynne, read by Fantasy Book Critic
  • Comment: FanLit Asks, posted by Fantasy Literature
  • Question: How Much Do Ebooks Cost, posted by Grasping For the Wind
  • To The Printer: A Memory of Light, posted by Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist
  • Review: Dearly, Beloved by Lia Habel, read by Sci-Fi Chick
  • Review: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, posted by Wertzone

I highly recommend all Unbound Worlds readers to visit these fine examples of sci-fi / fantasy blog work! Get involved, post your thoughts, and enjoy what else is out there!

And feel free to talk about it or anything else on our Forum here!

Till next week…
