Unbound Worlds Likes: 12/29/12

brooks-wardsThe internet(s) gives and gives and gives.

There are some great sci-fi/fantasy bloggers out there, fans who are devoting a lot of time and energy into supporting authors and their readers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and with the menagerie of unique and very different individuals out there contributing, it produces a whole that is better than its parts.

Last week, Unbound Worlds featured an First 50 Pages of Star Wars: Scoundrels by Timothy Zahn. Matt Staggs asked whether or not we will have Alien Contact in 12 Years, as well as featured Younglings Learning to Snowboard! Fictional Frontiers posted 15 Minutes of Fiction… with Terry Brooks! And I asked you all What Books Did You Receive?

In other areas of the professional internet(s), Tor.com featured The Hobbit: ReRead, Pyr Books featured 5 Questions To Great Story, and Orbit Books wishes everyone Happy Holidays!

Here are some of the blogging highlights I found outside of Unbound Worlds week ending 12/29/12:

  • Comment: Play D&D w/ Rothfuss, Brett, Sykes, posted by A Dribble of Ink
  • Poll: A Memory of Light, posted by A Fantasy Reader
  • Review: Wards of Faerie by Terry Brooks, read by Fantasy Book Critic
  • Review: Epic edited by John Joseph Adams, read by Fantasy Literature
  • Blog: Retiring, posted by Grasping For the Wind
  • Comment: New eBook Goodies, posted by Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist
  • Giveaway: The Rise of Ransom City by Felix Gilman, given by Sci-Fi Chick
  • Review: Blood & Bone by Ian Cameron Esslemont, read by Wertzone

I highly recommend all Unbound Worlds readers to visit these fine examples of sci-fi / fantasy blog work! Get involved, post your thoughts, and enjoy what else is out there!

And feel free to talk about it or anything else on our Forum here!

Till next week…
