Unbound Worlds Likes: 12/8/12

cronin-passageThe internet(s) gives and gives and gives.

There are some great sci-fi/fantasy bloggers out there, fans who are devoting a lot of time and energy into supporting authors and their readers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and with the menagerie of unique and very different individuals out there contributing, it produces a whole that is better than its parts.

Last week, Unbound Worlds featured an First 50 Pages of The Sum of Her Parts by Alan Dean Foster. Matt Staggs and I really ramped up our Gifts For the Geek holiday posts with some great gift ideas for the geek in your life! Fictional Frontiers posted 15 Minutes of Fiction… with Drew Karpyshyn! Matt Staggs posted Take Five with Erin M. Evans, author of Brimstone Angels: Lesser Evils. And I polled Will You Be Seeing The Hobbit On Opening Night?

In other areas of the professional internet(s), Tor.com posted video celebrating the life of Robert Jordan, Pyr Books featured 5 Questions To Great Story, and Orbit Books is giving away wallpaper for Red Country by Joe Abercrombie!

Here are some of the blogging highlights I found outside of Unbound Worlds week ending 12/8/12:

  • UK Cover: The Daylight War by Peter V. Brett, posted by A Dribble of Ink
  • Comment: Author Updates, posted by A Fantasy Reader
  • Review: Cold Days by Jim Butcher, read by Fantasy Book Critic
  • Review: The Gunslinger by Stephen King, read by Fantasy Literature
  • Interview: Ian Rogers, posted by Grasping For the Wind
  • Review: The Passage by Justin Cronin, read by Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist
  • Trailer: Star Trek Into Darkness, posted by Sci-Fi Chick
  • Preview: Game of Thrones: Season 3, posted by Wertzone

I highly recommend all Unbound Worlds readers to visit these fine examples of sci-fi / fantasy blog work! Get involved, post your thoughts, and enjoy what else is out there!

And feel free to talk about it or anything else on our Forum here!

Till next week…
