You all know Brandon. He has become one of the biggest names in the genre. With his work on the Wheel of Time series and a penchant for delivering more manuscripts than is humanly possible, he has become a fan favorite, able to write amazing characters, conflict, and awesome settings with amazing worldbuilding.
Harriet McDougal is a name some of you may not know but you all know her work. She is the long-time Wheel of Time editor and widow to the late Robert Jordan. She is in every sentence of the series, making her as integral as Jordan, Sanderson, and Tor Books publisher Tom Doherty.
A Memory of Light, the final book in the Wheel of Time series, is now published. It hit #1 on the New York Times bestselling list not once but twice—a rarity in the fantasy book industry. Since the book’s release, Brandon has been on the road, talking about the series, his role in it, and Robert Jordan’s contributions to the end of the series. Harriet has met Brandon when she could on the road, an exciting thing for fans.
As it turns out, both Harriet and Brandon visited Seattle last night, in support of A Memory of Light. I have met Brandon numerous times now and always enjoy our conversation but adding Harriet was fun. She is one of the sweetest and smartest women I’ve met.
Together they met fans across the street from the University Bookstore at the Methodist Church.
And here is video from that night:
A Memory of Light by Robert Jordan & Brandon Sanderson is in fine bookstores now!
