For those of you who are not aware of it, Rogues is an anthology featuring short stories by some of the best writers in all of genre. I am currently reading it, preparing for a number of interviews and reviews when the book is released, and all I can say is the anthology is amazing so far. All of the stories are about rogues—scoundrels, thieves, assassins, etc. You get the idea.

I’ve read the Joe Abercrombie story and it’s worth the price of admission just by itself. The Gillian Flynn story left me barely able to sleep. Utterly creepy and well-written. I am reading the story by Matthew Hughes now and also enjoying the hellfire out of it. I will make my way in order of table of contents until I arrive at the Patrick Rothfuss Bast story and a new George R. R. Martin foray into Ice & Fire.

Here is the line-up for Rogues:

  • George R.R. Martin “Everybody Loves a Rogue” (Introduction)
  • Joe Abercrombie “Tough Times All Over”
  • Gillian Flynn “What Do You Do?”
  • Matthew Hughes “The Inn of the Seven Blessings”
