Unbound Worlds Likes: 4/5/14

martin-rogues-greenThe internet(s) gives and gives and gives.

There are some great sci-fi/fantasy bloggers out there, fans who are devoting a lot of time and energy into supporting authors and their readers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and with the menagerie of unique and very different individuals out there contributing, it produces a whole that is better than its parts.

Last week, Unbound Worlds featured the First 50 Pages of The Sentinel by Troy Denning. Author Anne Leonard wrote a guest post On Dragonlore. The Unbound Worlds Cage Match continued with Round 3! Sarah Peed posted New This Month From Del Rey/Spectra. Matt Staggs Took Five with Andrew Smith, author of Grasshopper Jungle! Eric Geller featured the newest Star Wars HoloNet Digest. And I posted a non-spoiler review of Captain America: The Winter Solider as well as the awesome news that Tad Williams is writing The Last King of Osten Ard, a follow-up trilogy to his bestselling epic fantasy trilogy, Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn! Not to mention my April Fool’s joke post, George R. R. Martin to Publish Only ONE Copy of The Winds of Winter!

In other areas of the professional internet(s), Tor.com refreshed Game of Thrones fans for tonight’s new season opener, Pyr Books turned 9 Years Old, and Orbit Books offers free signed bookplates for pre-ordering The Crimson Campaign by Brian McClellan!

Here are some of the blogging highlights I found outside of Unbound Worlds week ending 4/5/14:

  • Review: The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson, read by A Dribble of Ink
  • Comment: April New Releases, posted by A Fantasy Reader
  • Review: Night Owls by Lauren M. Roy, read by Fantasy Book Critic
  • Review: The Land Across by Gene Wolfe, read by Fantasy Literature
  • Comment: Calling Self-Publisher Writers, posted by Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist
  • Review: Killer Frost by Jennifer Estep, read by Sci-Fi Chick
  • Table of Contents: Rogues edited by George R. R. Martin & Gardner Dozois, posted by SF Signal
  • Comment: The Last King of Osten Ard by Tad Williams, posted by Wertzone

I highly recommend all Unbound Worlds readers to visit these fine examples of sci-fi / fantasy blog work! Get involved, post your thoughts, and enjoy what else is out there!

And feel free to talk about it or anything else on our Forum here!

Till next week…
