Star Wars: Episode VII director J.J. Abrams appeared today in a short video recorded on-set in Abu Dhabi to offer a chance at an experience no fan would refuse: A visit to Pinewood Studios in London to tour the closed set as Abrams’ VIP guest, and to participate in a shoot that could be used in the film. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is being made possible by “Star Wars: Force For Change”: a new initiative using the power of Star Wars to find innovative solutions to the world’s problems.
The experience will be awarded to one lucky winner as part of a random drawing organized by Force For Change partner, Omaze. It only costs $10 to enter the drawing, and if you want to up your odds of winning you can buy more chances to win at $10 each. Donate enough, and you can earn all kinds of neat Star Wars rewards, too, from a thank you note written by J.J. Abrams to a private screening of Episode VII in your home town. The proceeds raised by the drawing will go to UNICEF’s Innovation Labs.
