Unbound Worlds Likes: 6/7/14

lawrence-princeoffoolsThe internet(s) gives and gives and gives.

There are some great sci-fi/fantasy bloggers out there, fans who are devoting a lot of time and energy into supporting authors and their readers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and with the menagerie of unique and very different individuals out there contributing, it produces a whole that is better than its parts.

Last week, Unbound Worlds featured the First 50 Pages of Crown of Renewal by Eliazbeth Moon. Sarah Peed updated readers with what is new from Del Rey Spectra this month. Matt Staggs features the exciting return of author Daniel H. Wilson and his new novel, Robogenesis, along with an article about how you and George R. R. Martin together can save wolves! Eric Geller featured the newest Star Wars HoloNet Digest. And I share the epic news that Margaret Atwood’s Oryx & Crake is coming to HBO, as well as the very sad news about the passing of author Jay Lake.

In other areas of the professional internet(s), Tor.com wants to kill you for charity via George R. R. Martin, Pyr Books turned 9 Years Old, and Orbit Books offers you the chance to ask Shattered author Kevin Hearne a question!

Here are some of the blogging highlights I found outside of Unbound Worlds week ending 6/7/14:

  • Cover: Half the World by Joe Abercrombie, posted by A Dribble of Ink
  • Comment: June Book Releases, posted by A Fantasy Reader
  • Review: Prince of Fools by Mark Lawrence, read by Fantasy Book Critic
  • Comment: Best Books We Read Last Month, posted by Fantasy Literature
  • Book Quote: Fool’s Assassin by Robin Hobb, posted by Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist
  • Review: The Dark Between the Stars by Kevin J. Anderson, posted by Sci-Fi Chick
  • At HBO: Oryx & Crake by Margaret Atwood, posted by SF Signal
  • New Covers: The Wheel of Time Books, posted by Wertzone

I highly recommend all Unbound Worlds readers to visit these fine examples of sci-fi / fantasy blog work! Get involved, post your thoughts, and enjoy what else is out there!

And feel free to talk about it or anything else on our Forum here!

Till next week…
